The Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary (Kolárovo)
The Baroque Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary was built during 1723-1724 at the site of the oldest Gothic church, which had burnt down.
It was enlarged in 1772. The church is an impressive historic and cultural landmark. The interior of the church is arched with a late-Baroque vault. The altar picture on the main classicist altar depicts the Ascension of the Virgin Mary and is the work of Ferdinand Lütgerndorff from 1832.
Around the church there used to be an older fortification wall with holes and round corner bastions from the 17th century. In the 1950s, the wall was knocked down.
